GPs in Wales are the lowest paid in Britain, new figures reveal

The statistics, published by the HSCIC, come as thousands of Welsh health workers vote on whether to strike over pay Doctors in Wales are now the lowest-paid in Britain after a drop in wages last year, new figures have revealed. Welsh NHS-salaried GPs took twice as big a hit when compared with their English counterparts after suffering a 1.7% fall in pay, compared with a 0.8% reduction across the boarder.
