WHAT does a group of people consisting of former navy chefs, stewards, marine technicians and boatswains, an ex-army dental hygienist and an ex-army artillery soldier have in common? Twelve sailors have graduated as members of the new Fleet Air Arm category, Aviation Support , which has been set up to assist in the deployment of aircraft to the navy's new helicopter carriers. The graduates will make up the flight deck and hangar aircraft movements team and will serve as aircraft crash rescue personnel in each of the two LHDs, with 23 AVNs posted to each ship.
