Comic actors Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader play twins Maggie and Milo Dean, whose childhood bond has broken down in adulthood and left them estranged but not entirely unconnected, in The Skeleton Twins . Their status as an adolescent "gruesome twosome", as they were once described, resurfaces on the day Milo takes to his bathtub in Los Angeles with a razor blade, with the call from the hospital reaching Maggie in upstate New York just as she holds an unnaturally large handful of pills.
