A team of veterinarians have performed major dental surgery on 2 lions rescued from circuses in Peru by members of Animal Defenders International in the hope that the animals will soon be able to lead more comfortable lives at a sanctuary in Denver, CO. The pair, King and Simba were found to be in appalling condition, with King barely able to eat normally after having most of his teeth pulled by his former owners.
