Miles for Smiles 5K walk/run and 1-mile fun run road race to support dental health projects with Healthy Acadia will be held Saturday, May 9, starting from Dental Associates, 325 Main St. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the race events begin at 9 a.m. The cost is $15 for the 5K walk/run, and $5 for the fun run. "We are excited to host the second annual "Miles for Smiles" road race to raise awareness about the importance of dental health and to support increased access and education throughout the region," stated Dr. Wendy Alpaugh, dentist at Island Dental Center.
