Marin clinics expand with rise in Medi-Cal patients

In 2014, under the Affordable Care Act, Medi-Cal coverage was expanded to include those whose annual income is between 106 and 138 percent lower than the federal poverty level. This opened the door for more than 1 million low-income Californians under age 65 who were previously ineligible to receive coverage.
