I desperately, desperately needed to go to the dentist, and when I went this morning I was scheduled for 1) a deep cleaning and 2) 5 cavity fillings. For the cleaning I'm told I can get a topical anesthetic and have it done in one appointment, or get an injection and have it done in two.
