Sonoma County's dental care for kids seen as lacking

That amounts to one dentist for every 2,155 children, a ratio the California State Auditor deems insufficient, according to a recent report that found 27 counties either had too few or no dentists at all willing to treat children on dental services, and as a result may be unaware of its shortcomings. The report also found the agency does not collect specific data needed to meet state and federal reporting requirements and has not enforced certain said the agency agrees with most of the findings in the State Auditor report and has already begun to take corrective action.
