St. Mary's: Food, mercy, dignity for those in need

History: St. Mary's Dining Room was started in 1955 as a simple soup kitchen by Father Alan McCoy in an abandoned restaurant and bar. A year later, Dr. Virgil Ginanelli began providing medical care to homeless and working poor clients at St. Mary's.
