Appointments are available for the Friday, Feb. 6 free dental services offering for children at the Durham County Department of Public Health. The 11-annual Give Kids A Smile Day will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the department's dental clinic, lobby 21, at the Human Services Building at 414 E. Main St. The event, which serves Durham County children in need aged 5 to 18, reached more than 40 children last year and provided $10,000 in free oral health services.
