University of Kentucky takes care of student-athletes

It's been in vogue in recent years for college administrators to publicly preach about student-athlete welfare, but University of Kentucky athletics director Mitch Barnhart says such talk has been backed up by action for many years at UK. "There's been a greater emphasis on student-athlete welfare, at least publicly, than ever before," Barnhart said Tuesday at a press conference to announce that Makers Mark and Keeneland have partnered to raise $2 million to expand UK's groundbreaking CATS program.
