The taxman forced Britain's wealthy middle classes including doctors, dentists and lawyers to hand back an extra A 137million last year following a clampdown. The amount recovered from wealthy professionals is growing three times faster than the sum clawed back from the richest celebrities, business tycoons and sports stars, the figures show.
