Circuit Judge Elisabeth A. French ruled Friday in favor of the Alabama Board of Dental Examiners and against a North Carolina man and an Alabama woman who sell teeth-whitening products. They had argued that Alabama's restrictions on teeth-whitening were designed to protect the state's 3,600 dentists from competition.
