This is the documentary by James Marsh that tells the story of the moment in August 1974 when 24-year-old French daredevil, juggler, tightrope walker and pickpocket Philippe Petit stepped out on a wire strung between the two towers of the World Trade Center and, holding a balance bar, danced in the air for an awe-inspiring 45 minutes. The film won two awards at Sundance, is rated at 100 percent on the site Rotten Tomatoes.com, received ecstatic reviews, and will be released on DVD on December 9th.
